Ever heard of MI700?, well…it’s the new Android powered tablet/pad/phone running Froyo 2.2. Looks familiar…it is basically the same OEM Android Pad as Viewsonic Viewpad 7 and Olivepad. Comes with 7″ capacitive screen, 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, 800×400 resolution, powered by Qualcomm MSSM7227 running at 600MHZ (with the same GPU as Snapdragon), GPS, Accelerometer.
The best feature about this Android Pad is it can make normal phone call using your standard SIM card and Network, using it’s built in loudspeaker or bluetooth headset. You don’t handheld the Pad by your ear…even if you can, please don’t, it will look weird. I find it’s quite pocketable as I usually left it in my front pocket during normal usage and let my bluetooth headset handle the rest.
Finding a nice bracket/holder for holding the Pad in my car is a different story, the size will not fit most of handphone holder I could find in the market. So I have to find another way (D.I.Y) to hold the Pad in my car. My method will cost you not a cent and is very easy to do.

Find an unused lanyard, try to find your way to make it looks like the picture above, any aircond outlet combination will do as long as you’re creative enough.

Insert the supplied holder/pouch by flipping it backward.

It should look like this if you do it right, but it is very easy, am I right?.

Finally, slide your Android Pad where it suppose to be, looks quite neat for an easy D.I.Y job right?. It will hold better than any expensive car mount/holder as long as you lock/tied the lanyard properly.
